Celeste Lipkes’ first book of poems, Radium Girl, was published by the Wisconsin Poetry Series. Her critical prose has appeared in magazines such as Electric Lit, The Rumpus, and 32 Poems. She received her MFA in poetry from the University of Virginia. She has taught writing workshops for patients, caregivers, and providers in various clinical settings and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UNC. She practices psychiatry and co-directs the Ethics and Humanities course for medical students in Asheville, North Carolina. She is at work on a collection of lyric essays.
