Celeste Lipkes’ first book of poems, Radium Girl, was published by the Wisconsin Poetry Series. Her critical prose has appeared in magazines such as Electric Lit, The Rumpus, Plume, and 32 Poems. She received her MFA in poetry from the University of Virginia and has has taught writing workshops for students, patients, caregivers, and medical providers in both academic and clinical settings. She currently practices psychiatry and co-directs the Ethics and Humanities course for UNC medical students in Asheville, North Carolina. She is at work on a collection of essays.
